Thaipusam Photowalk 2016

Picture
Thaipusam, a truly amazing celebration. Colourful and noisy. The acrid aroma of incense mingling with the spices of food cooking on the side of the road through Little India and along the Serangoon Road. All the while friends and family of the devotees urge their charges to their destination.

Let Noodle Photography guide you through this amazing annual festival. Along the way we will advise on where to get great shots and how to get them. We will finish by joining the throngs of devotees as we mix with them while we walk. This makes for great close up photography and an extraordinary experience.

The route

We start at Sri Srinivasa Perumal Temple, one of the oldest temples in Singapore and follow the route down Serangoon Rd over Rochor Canal and in to Selegie Rd. As we head in to Dhoby Ghaut the route funnels along Penang Rd before making its final turn left in to Clemenceau Ave.

General information
We strongly advise you don't drive, there is ample public transport to bring you close by. Farrer Park MRT station is a short walk away from the start point.
Taxis will need to drop you some distance away as many streets will be closed or busy.
Wear good shoes and bring water as the walk will be around 4.5km long. You may also want to wear some sunscreen as the heat will build as the tour goes on.
There will be a maximum of three people per walk. More times will be added if the demand is great enough.

Time and place
Sunday 24 January - starting 9am finishing at approximately 12pm.
We will also add extra times if demand exceeds the maximum numbers for each walk.
Meeting at the corner of Petain Rd. and Serangoon Rd. opposite Sri Srinivasa Perumal Temple
Cost
$150 per person or $125 each if you bring a friend.

Payment can be made in advance by bank transfer. We will send bank and joining details upon booking.

Please leave your details below and we will contact you.
